Oilers are coming to town

So the Oilers are coming in tonight, and for that game we have more injuries for our dear Wings team. Patrick Eaves is still out with his lower body injury (that he got in practice, stepping on bad ice) and Rafalski is probably out with a sore back. So the line up will be like this (according to Khan:

Leino-Datsyuk-Holmstrom
Bertuzzi-Zetterberg-Cleary
Draper-Helm-Miller
May-Abdelkader-Maltby

Lidstrom-Ericsson
Stuart-Lebda
Meech-Kindl

Howard (starting)
Osgood

I like that Howard gets another vote of confidence, and I also like the switching Uncle Mike has done to the lines. Let's hope they work. When it comes to Kindl I'm scared and excited at the same time.

The Oilers though are in an even worse situation than the Wings. Look at their injuries (list stolen from NOHS):
ernando Pisani: Colitus...out indefinately

Dennis Grebeshkov: Knee...out indefinately

Marc Pouliot: Sports Hernia...out 2-3 weeks

Mike Comrie: Mononucleosis...out indefinately

Nikolai Khabibulin: Back...out indefinately

Taylor Chorney: Ankle...day-today

Ales Hemsky: Shoulder...out 5-6 months

Shawn Horcoff: Shoulder...day-to-day

That's pretty bad! The little I have seen of the Oilers this year has shown a team with a lot offensive skill, but absolutely no defense. And without Khabibulin they get way too many goals against (Deslauriers has looked weak).

Keys to the game:
- More agressive in our own end (I am tired of writing this one), Homer would have a field day if he played for an opposing team
- Slow the Oilers down through the neutral zone
- Try and get more speed off the rush
- Keep up the hard work and grit in the offensive zone.

Reason to hate the Oilers
My little brother's a fan, 'nough said.
