Olympic day preview

So, another day of the Olympics and we have two very interesting events seen with Norwegian eyes.

First of all, we have the Nordic Combined event (ski jump+cross country). Magnus Moan is our best candidate there. He has struggled a bit this season, but come on strong lately and is at least an outsider. He is going to do poorly in the ski jump, the question is how poorly. Hopefully he will do well enough to get a start he can manage in the cross country, where he is among the fastest. Do not rule out Petter Tande either.

But the main event is the men's biathlon sprint. Ole Einar Bjørndalen, a man with 91 world cup victories and 19 championship golds is the favourite as always. And if things work for him, he might just run away with this one. Emil Hegle Svendsen has also been stellar this year, so don't rule him out either. As of right now I don't know who the last two Norwegians will be, but I know that whoever it is may get a medal or win on a perfect day.

Go Norway!
